It’s happening! Next week is Christmas, are you ready??? Well for the first time I am ahead of the game. Of course, I’ve been cooped up at home so I’m all wrapped and ready. I wanted to share with you a couple of new fun home decor for the holidays projects that are quick and easy to make with your Cricut or cutting machine.
Oh and for some reason the Cricut 12-days of Christmas is still going strong. So that’s awesome – make sure to scroll to the bottom!
Home Decor
Making personal home decor for the holidays is the best! This year I got a new, blue accent chair and immediately knew I needed a red pillow for it. This was a super easy iron-on design. The SVG came from DesignBundles and you can find it here. Yes, it’s $2 but you can use it for so many other things and even separate the images and words by slicing them out to create new designs. Always think outside the box! Repurpose the deer, the leaves and even the bow.
Christmas Tree Cutout Card
I don’t know why but I am not a fan of sending out Christmas cards. However, this year I did make a couple because I wanted to try something new. Here’s a fun card that I created using a tree cutout for one side of the card (but you can use a snowflake, deer, Santa, etc.). Of course, I had to bling mine out..LOL!
For this card I used the green metallic cardstock from Recollections; I bought it at Michaels. Make sure to resize it when you upload it. It should be 10″ W x 7″ H so that when you fold in half it’s a 5×7″ card. Make sure to align, center and attach the score line for easy folding.
If you just want to recreate this version, you can find the template in the Resource Library as well.
Poinsettia
Earlier this month I had the privilege of teaching a live class for Girls Nite In Online. In 30 minutes we made a great poinsettia that can be used for home decor for the holidays, gifts boxes, wreaths, garlands, or just by itself. I’ll link the replay of the class below so that you can view the step-by-step instructions. You can find the template in the Resource Library as well.
12 days of Cricut turned into 14 days of Cricut. They are all still available so make sure you click below to see all of the surprise bundles.
They are all now unwrapped – click the picture to view!
